The Indiana Health Equity Council promotes health equity and quality of life by
convening organizations and individuals supporting community engagements for public health.

The Indiana Health Equity Council promotes health equity and quality of life by convening organizations and individuals supporting community engagements for public health.

Health equity starts with addressing health disparities, which are preventable differences in the burden of disease, injury, violence, or absence to achieve optimal health felt by socially disadvantaged populations.

The Indiana Health Equity Council is funded by the Indiana Department of Health: Office of Minority Health through the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention’s COVID-19 Relief funding.
