It is all FREE for the entire family. • Come play a round of putt putt for FREE • Ride on the historic Dentzel Carousel (and grab that brass ring) for FREE • Play detective in a scavenger hunt for FREE • Bounce houses and obstacle courses for FREE • Live DJ/entertainment • Check out the outdoor workout area, learn how to play pickleball, play soccer, basketball, and cornhole ALL FOR FREE • Check out a fire engine and go through the smoke house for FREE • Visit booths full of information for families and activities for the kids to do for FREE! Columbian Park 1915 Scott Street, Lafayette, IN, United StatesOur biggest event of the year! The Tippecanoe Latino Festival (TLF) is our primary outreach and educational event. Each year a presentation takes place at the Festival where the LCWE awards three scholarships for incoming college freshman. The LCWE welcomes more than 2,000 people annually to the event. This event provides an opportunity for all to learn about Latino culture and provides the people of Tippecanoe County with information about resources available to them in Greater Lafayette.

40th Annual Ebony & Ivory Ball

The evening will once again consist of programming that focuses on the history, culture, and meaning of the Hanna Community Center within the community. An Evening with Elizabeth Acevedo

Grant St, West Lafayette, IN, United StatesElizabeth Acevedo is the New York Times-bestselling author of The Poet X, which won the National Book Award for Young People’s Literature, the Michael L. Printz Award, the Pura Belpré Award, the Carnegie medal, the Boston Globe–Horn Book Award, and the Walter Award. She is also the author of numerous other titles including Family Lore; With the Fire on High, which was named a best book of the year by the New York Public Library, NPR, Publishers Weekly, and School Library Journal; and Clap When You Land, a Boston Globe–Horn Book Honor book and a Kirkus finalist. Acevedo has been a fellow of Cave Canem, Cantomundo, and a participant in the Callaloo Writer’s Workshops. She is a National Poetry Slam Champion, and resides in Washington, DC with her husband.
Indiana CTSI Regional Event at Purdue
Purdue Memorial Union - North & South Ballroom 101 Grant St, West Lafayette, IN, United StatesOn February 29, Purdue University and former US Surgeon General Jerome Adams, MD, will hold the institution’s third annual Health Equity Summit. This event will also function as Purdue’s campus retreat for the Indiana CTSI. Francis Collins, MD, PhD, who is Senior investigator at the National Human Research Institute and former Director of the National Institutes of Health, will speak at the event, which will take place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the North and South ballrooms of the Purdue Memorial Union in West Lafayette.
